THE ARTIST
Rabi (b. 1984) David Emanuel Mordechai Torres, an American artist with Puerto Rican and Polish roots, hails from Los Angeles. Growing up as a child of immigrants in Iowa and Southern California, he embraced the diverse essence of American life, evident in his art that explores themes of contradiction, duality, and sociopolitical philosophy. Rabi's artistic journey began as a graffiti writer, skateboarder, and muralist, collaborating with renowned artists in LA. His passion for creating art in public spaces blossomed through skateboarding and graffiti, complemented by his keen eye for capturing his personal world through video and photography. Co-founding the internationally acclaimed art collective CYRCLE in 2009 alongside David Leavitt and Devin Liston, Rabi expanded his love for public installation to a global audience. Over a decade, he honed his skills in video, design, photography, painting, and sculpture, exhibiting and working across continents - Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, and North America.
